On June 30th, Jon Steiner headed up a Poker Run,and there were 8 vehicles. Patrick Goss won the gas card prize with 2 Aces. The last stop was The Igloo on Veteran’s Memorial Drive for treats.
Harold and Jo Williams was in charge of the annual Beef House tour, which Harold had Ed Wagoner be the lead car. Then a few miles down the road Tom Cobb was the leader for a while, then Joe Goss was the lead car. Harold mentioned he’d never been on a tour where the lead car turned in to 3 different vehicles.
Cindy Reinke from Flora, gave an informational presentation about Human Trafficking Awareness. She is a presenter of the Ascent 121 Christian organization out of Indianapolis. Mrs. Reinke told of the age range of girls and boys that get exploited in to the trafficking life, through social media, getting picked up where teens gather then are “groomed” into being trafficked.
Pat Malone gave a report about the Packard Club. The Club had been headed up by Malcolm Miller, (who has passed away) in the past. The National Packard Club Car Show is to be at Purdue Amphitheater, July 20 – 27, 2019.
The president announced that there is a need for a new position, of the club, that could use a volunteer, called, Membership Watch. That person would be responsible for reminding members when their membership is nearing expiration and time to renew. If interested, talk to the president after the meeting.
Linda Cobb is in charge of Care and Concern for Annette Williams, she reported cards were sent to Gene McKinley, Susie and John Coulson, Jerry Barnett and sympathy cards to Patsy Fieleke and Ruth Fredericks.

Brandon introduced Lt. Stephen Dahl from the Salvation Army. He explained some of the activities they are doing during the Holiday Season including a new program titled “Pathway of Hope.” A monetary collection from the members was collected and $395 plus a $100 check from the Club was presented to Lt. Dahl.
Jerry Barnett will host the Christmas Light Tour on November 25, 2017. Meet in the Meijer parking lot on the East side at 5:30 p.m. More information on the Web Site.
