April 3, 2018 LIHAC Minutes

The April 3, 2018 LIHAC meeting was called to ordered at 6:30 p.m., by President, Tim Lange,  53 answered roll call. There are 96 memberships as of the April 3rd meeting.  There were 3 guests, Tom and Pat Porter and Jim and Linda Lewis’ granddaughter, Shiane Saks.

The secretary’s report was read and approved, the treasurer “sub”,  Linda Cobb gave the treasurer’s report of checks were   written for a total of $610.00, the checking account has $4068.85 and the savings account has $1053.23.

There were 9 birthdays and 4 anniversaries for the month of April.

The MCL drawing went to Lynn Senesac, the Dog ’n Suds to Wil Gwin and the recruiting a new member to Linda Findlay .     

The March Ladies Luncheon, at  O’ Charley’s , hosted by Marty Burkhalter, reported that there were 15 ladies in attendance and Harold Williams reported that there were 15 men at the March men’s breakfast.   The next Ladies luncheon will be hosted by Jo Williams, at Pepe’s at 11:30, April 18th.  The men’s breakfast will be April 20th, 8:30 at The Downtowner.

Pam Luenz reported that there were 20 people attending the St. Patrick’s lunch, at 9 Irish Brothers, March 18th.

Pat Malone gave a report about the Packard Club.  The Club had been headed up by Malcolm Miller, (who has passed away)  in the past.  The National Packard Club Car Show is to be at Purdue  Amphitheater, July 20 – 27, 2019.

April 21st, will be the Rossville Spring Fish Fry at the Rossville School and its for the scholarship fund.

Upcoming tours are:  a tour lead by Tim Lange, April 8th, starting at Fairfield Lakes at 2:00 and ending at the Dog ‘n Suds at 4:30;  then Wednesday April 25th will be a tour to have lunch at the Oakdale Inn at 11:00, lead by Harold Williams, meet at the museum at Battle Ground.

The LIHAC May 1st    meeting will have a guest speaker, Cindy  Reinke, concerning Human Trafficking Awareness.   

Joe Newlin is the new owner of the Dammit Doll.  It is a half sized doll made special, because his car is half the size of a regular car.  Marlene Peterson is still in charge of the Golden Spike.

The meeting was shortened because of very bad weather approaching Lafayette and West  Lafayette.  There was a motion to adjourn the meeting by Don Gosma and seconded by Dave Hackney.
